“We need to replace natural gas and coal”
Read the new article by Michael Bartlett in @illuminemNews. He writes about the flexibility of the Biomass-fired Top Cycle plant technology, #biomass in Sweden, & how the #EnergyTransition can be successful.
Renewable energy tech is becoming more flexible. Europe’s laws need to be too.
A natural part of the EU's energy transition must be to take what you have at home — take a look at each...

Time to mix!
Syngas is short for synthetic gas and describes a mixture of hydrogen, carbon monoxide, and other gases.
We will produce syngas from biomass by heating it up to 900°C. This gas drives our turbine.

Boom! Combustion is a basic chemical process in which a substance reacts with oxygen and releases heat.
@bioflexgen combusts air with gasified biomass at over 1.400°C. That´s the Biomass-fired Top Cycle gas turbine!

Prognosis: Further tests with syngas and hydrogen planned. #GreenNewDeal here we come!
It´s a star: Hydrogen is the most abundant element in the universe that can be used to produce clean energy.
Our Biomass-fired Top Cycle plant can produce hydrogen from biomass and also runs on hydrogen.

Green Energy Working Group, assemble!
We are part of the #CleanEnergy working group. 16 projects from 46 countries collaborate to reduce #CO2 emissions by developing novel energy solutions.
The core of @bioflexgen technology: Gasification is a process that converts biomass into gas to produce energy.
In our plant, the gasified biomass is combusted with air at high temperatures to drive a gas turbine.
